RPC Training Courses:
The Radiological Protection Centre has been running training courses for many years
and is proud to have trained thousands of delegates in both
radiation and laser protection. All of RPC's courses are run and chaired by certificated RPA's & LPA's, who between them have many years
experience in the fields of Ionising & Non-Ionising radiation. The
table below shows the full list of courses
currently being offered for 2021.
TRAINING COURSES
UPDATE
We are planning to run a full
programme of face-to-face training courses during 2021. Having gained
significant experience of online training during the pandemic, we remain firm
believers that the educational value of classroom-based training exceeds that of
other forms of delivery. As such, we plan to resume our regular programme of
training courses for a wide range of healthcare professionals from May 2021.
This will be subject to current restrictions being lifted and we are confident
that life will be returning to normal by that time. Full details of our training
programme will be available here as soon as dates have been confirmed.
Please note that our online radiation
protection update training ("Moodle") is still available to our clients. Please
contact us directly for details of how to access the training.
We provide basic online radiation protection
training for porters, admin staff, cleaners, etc. via our homepage (see the
"Online training" tab). Online radiation protection training is also available
to nurses and other staff who work in a radiation controlled area via the same
link. No username or password are required.
Our courses are regularly updated to ensure that delegates benefit from current
legislation, and cover the following areas:
-
Radiation Protection & Quality Assurance
Course for Radiology Departments. This is a Core of Competence Training Course
for Radiation
Protection Supervisors (RPS) and Quality Assurance Co-ordinators
-
IR(ME)R 2000 Theoretical Training Course
for Clinicians
-

Professionals
-
